1. About this page

These terms cover your use of pacificarrent.com — searching, booking, paying and managing your account. They are not the rental agreement that governs the physical use of a vehicle. The rental agreement is presented to you at pickup, on paper or screen, and applies once you sign it and the keys are released.

2. Headline price + GST

Every price on this site is the prominent single price including GST and any mandatory fees, as required by the Australian Consumer Law (ACCC Component Pricing). The total you see at booking is the total you are charged.

3. Refunds and cancellation

  • Cancel 7 days or more before pickup → full refund.
  • Cancel 3–7 days before pickup → 3 days at the daily rate retained, balance refunded.
  • Cancel within 3 days of pickup or no-show → no refund.

Refunds are issued to the original card, typically within 5–10 business days.

4. Security deposit hold

At pickup we place a refundable authorisation on the same card you booked with ($500–$1,500 depending on the vehicle). It is not a charge. It is released within 1 business day of vehicle return — your bank may take a few extra days to surface the release.

5. Additional charges after rental

If we find new damage, an unpaid toll, a fuel shortage or a traffic infringement after you return the vehicle, we will email you an itemised invoice with the supporting photo or document and a 14-day window to query the amount with us before settlement.
